"Wasis Diop left Senegal in the early 70's for France . Around 1974, he met another Senegalese musician from Guinea-Bissau Umban Ukset. Together, they play first a duo and then come to create genuine training, West African Cosmos. Long before the so-called world music , West African Cosmos merges Western and African sounds and makes the Afro-jazz.
